Apparently, many of our Bollywood stars have abided by this quote. With every single person in the film industry waiting to bag atleast a small role in Hollywood movies, some of them have actually got their “Big Ticket to Hollywood”.

1 .      Priyanka Chopra

Lovingly called as “Piggy Chops” or “PC” among her fans and social media platforms, she is definitely born to be star. And mind you guys!! A brilliantly shining one!

Born in Jharkhand, she is “daddy’s lil girl” as she calls herself. The starting point of her career was when she won the “Miss World Pagaent 2000”. After that, she has not looked back once. Winning the hearts of millions of Indians by her bold character, strong aura, confident personality and not to speak of her envious figure, she was from the beginning, undoubtedly, someone to look out for. Climbing up the ladder by working in some of the renowned Bollywood hits like Fashion, Bajirao Mastani, Don & Krrish proved that  she is here to make an identity for herself on her own.

Coming to the point, unlike other actors who made their Hollywod presence known through acting, Priyanka made her debut by launching an album and being the lead singer in it!!! The album named “In my City” received critical acclaim from India and abroad as well. It got her many International awards followed by her two albums, “Exotic” & “I Can’t Make You Love Me”.

No,no, it doesn’t stop here. She became the first South Asian woman to be signed as a lead for an American TV series named “Quantico” which is being watched by millions and  appreciated by critics. As a cherry to the cake, she has just finished shooting for her movie, “Baywatch”  slotted to release in 2017.

Phew!!! She is definitely rocking it!!

2 .      Aishwarya Rai

Popularly known as “Aish” among her fans, her journey is as remarkable as her beauty. Though she had done a few modeling assignments, her landmark achievement was when she won the “Miss World Pagaent 1994” which won her worldwide acclaim and recognition. So much so, that for the Indians even today, no matter how many girls win that pageant again, she will always be the only one revered as Miss World here.

The green-blue eyed diva has worked in many Hindi films, one of them being “Devdas” which got itself screened in Cannes Film Festival that got her noticed among the foreign crowd.

Her first Hollywood project was  “Bride and Prejudice”. Other projects include “The Last Legion” and “Pink Panther”. She was also honored as a guest in famous shows like the “Oprah Winfrey Show” and “60 Minutes”.

She is currently not accepting any Hollyood roles after the birth of her baby daughter, Aradhya.

 

3 .      Irrfan Khan

Irrfan Khan, confident, opinionated and decisive, he is definitely the news of B-Town since the last few years. Versatile as he is and not to mention choosy about his roles, his natural acting has acquired him a prestigious reputation in B-Town which is evident from his roles in “Paan Singh Tomar”, “Piku”, “The Lunchbox” & “Slumdog Millionaire”.

His Hollywood journey started early too and his roles have been nothing less than brilliant. His films include “Jurassic World”, “Life of Pi”, “Inferno”, “The Namesake”, “A Mighty Heart” and “New York, I Love You”.

Freida Sylvia Pinto was born in Bombay and completed her schooling and higher studies from the same place.

The dusky beauty was chosen for the role of Latika in Slumdog Millionaire from where she rose to fame. Since after that, she has ben taking up only Hollywood projects. Her list includes “Rise of the Plant of the Apes”, “Desert Dancer”, “Miral”, “Black Gold”, “Blunt Force Trauma” and “Immortals”. Her new movie “Jungle Book” is being expected to release by 2018.

His debut was alongside Freida Pinto in Slumdog Millionaire and just like her, he won worldwide accolade through that. After the commercial success of his debut movie, he has been acting in Hollywood movies since. His releases include “The Last Airbender”, “The Commuter”, “Anout Cherry”, “ The Man who knew Infinity”, “Child 44” and “Lion”

The man is only worthy of praises and praises. His Bollywood career has spanned 40 years. He has millions of fans throughout India, old and young alike. His charming personality attracts all.

He received international recognition by his film, Slumdog Millionaire.

He has acted in the American TV series, “24” and now also plays the lead role in the Hindi adaptation of the same. He also played the role of an Indian business tycoon in “Mission Impossible 4” also starring Tom Cruise. His ongoing Hollywood projects include “Global Man”.

I would not be wrong to say that Big B is literally the symbol and ambassador of Bollywood as whole. He is epic.

Incidentally, he has maintained his antiquity while performing his role in the “Great Gatsby” also starring Leonardo Di Caprio”
